Default Travel Insurance

Hello,

Leave the UK on the 8th of Jan. But go snowboarding and then Thailand before I get to Sydney on the 14th of Jan. My insurance comes up for renewal on boxing day. It is £55 for annual cover incl. wintersports. Would I be covered in Thailand, as in effect I am not a UK resident anymore??

Obviously want to make sure I am covered. Or am I better to get a single trip for each one.

If you want to make sure you're covered, get single trip insurance or speak to an insurance company who knows what they're talking about.

Most 'normal' travel insurance policies will want you to be back in your country of residence before you make a claim.

Cheers
