transporting a car versus buying (second hand)
I plan to buy a second hand car in Canberra when we arrive but they appear to be high in price, has anyone compared the prices with the UK and included the £800 shipping cost to see if its a lot cheaper to send one over?

There are lots of threads on shipping vehicles over. Do a search on this forum and see what it comes up with. Basically, though, unless your car is something extra special it's not worth the cost to ship it, get it inspected and up to the state's standards.
