Re: transporting car

Hi,

Can't help with MG's but I am shipping over two of my scoots to Adelaide.
Just to warn you it is quite an expensive process, particularly shipping cars. There is an outfit called Karman (or something similar) who specialise in shipping cars, so worth hunting around for a link to their site.

First up you need to apply for permission to import from the Dept of Transport and Road Safety (www.dotars.gov.au) form VSB10. Costs $50 (plus costs for certified copies of docs) and only took about 2 weeks.

There is information on the Aussie customs site (www.customs.gov.au) on all the various taxes and duties you will have to pay.

I would recommend you get in touch with the WA state transport people to find out what, if any, modifications you may need to get done before you can register it.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of your application and move,

Cheers
Scooterpom.
