Transporting car
Did anyone bother shipping their car(s) over? I have read conflicting advice as whether it is worthwhile - and if UK cars comply with Oz safety regs

Been discussed lots about a month ago - try searching and you should find plenty.
Do you know which state you are heading for, as there are different rules in each.
I got shot down in flames the last time I said this, but because of problems I see through work, I'm going to repeat it. The main problem with importing a car is that the manuals, spare parts, and training of repairers here is aimed at Australian models. Some repairers (not all) will not work on these "grey" imports, and the parts often cost more as they have to be imported specially.
