Hi there, the exchange rate is pretty rubbish at the moment so we were hoping to leave our funds in a UK account for a while until it imporoves then exchange into Ozzy dollars - we're not sure of any tax implications of tranfering funds in stages like this though, so would be grateful if anyone can offer us any information... We're setting off in less than two weeks and have got our fingers crossed for an about-turn in the rate before then!!

We have transferred money three times through Hifx and no been charged a penny. All I would say is will you bank let you transfer fund without you being there? We had to transfer the money to my Dad and he transfered it because Barclays would not let us do it with literally standing infront of them! Just check with your bank.

We have transferred money 3 times since arriving 6 weeks ago via HiFX since and would definitely recommend them. We havent been charged any extra and their latest exchange rate was 2.43.
