Default Tradesman Expo in Brisbane

Has anybody been to this before and is it worth going?

Jim needs to buy a jackhammer and they're about $1000 retail, so we're looking to get a good discount.

Don't do it for discounts. You end up walking around, few beers, bit of nosh, bit more walkin, couple more beers then you're ripe for the reps to pick you off with ease. On the bus home you'll be carrying 6 placky bags of leaflets, keyrings and pens and a load of credit card receipts for tools you used to manage without before (well thats what I do anyway, oh yeah and I haven't been to the brissie one!). Leave the cards at home and enjoy the day out says me, cheers Brian

See if you can find out how many stalls etc it has, we got totally ripped off last year, it was a building expo in the convention centre, cost about $30 each to get in, there were about 30 stalls, you could do it in half an hour. Did get a large bag of balloons and frisbees and pens tho

There's about 100 exhibitors, including De Walt, Hitatchi, Procureit etc. who all sell jackhammers. It costs $10 to get in.

We went to the garden show at the exhibition centre last year and that was just pathetic. The home shows aren't really much better either. My boys are going to the Tinnie and Tackle show next weekend so that if they ever manage to catch a fish , they'll at least know how to fillet it.
