Post Trade feedback on Brisbane/ Qld

What are the job prospects like at the moment for tilers in Brisbane/ Qld..
I know you need a license to work in Qld, but is there enough work to keep some one like myself going whilst applying for a trade licence?

I understand the Oz gov has recently promoted trade related companies to take-on lots of new apprentices (Ozzies only) and theres an incentive in it for the companies that do. Is this having an effect on job availability?

thanks
