Hi

we will be in townsville this weekend for a football/soccer tournament at Brolga park, Murray sporting complex.

I have seen somewhere that a hotel/motel strip near there on Bowen Road is close by, is that correct and if it is can anyone reccommend somewhere along there to stay for a few days.

Or how far is the complex from the seafront please

Any help would be gratefully received.

Can't say I know Townsville but we are going there in August as a guest of Melbourne Victory (they are playing some team or other). I guess that I will be going to the same place as you - they have booked accommodation for us at a place called Jupiters and you may want to try there but I have no idea what it is like and someone else may know somewhere nearer/better.

The A Team

Jupiters is very nice and about 20 minutes from Murray Sports Stadium. If you don't have a hire car you'd probably need a taxi. Bowen Road does indeed have lots of motel type of places that would be much closer but I have no idea what they're like I'm sorry.

thanks for the replies I have a couple of options narrow downed waiting to hear back on a third that someone has booked from the football club but cant go now
