Default tourist attractions

Today we have taken our visitors out to the Margaret River Chocolate factory, and the Gumnut factory in the swam valley, very disappointed, they both turned out to be shops and cafes, it wasn't really worth the journey well except for the winneries that were around with free wine and cheese tasting went down very well on a hot day, one of the places they would like to go is the armadale reptile centre, any one been there before and know if it's worth going to visit, elderly people are hard to please i think they are expecting big things when we turn up to these places

Hi Yve,

We took Mr Loopy's Pa & Nana to Armadale & we all liked it. It's not huge, but worth a visit. Don't let the name fool you, they also had parrots, roos, dingos, wombats, donkeys etc.! If you stand and talk to the white cockatoos on the way in they speak back. I'd only plan for a couple of hours there though. There are other things round Armadale though like the Pioneer Village, never been there though.

Oh yeah, they had a good assortment of reptiles too and really cute frogs!

The Marageret River region is stunning. Check out Prevally Beach which is a few klicks from Margaret River town. And the wineries are great fun.....

Didn't they like the fact that they can just eat all thoses chocolate buttons until they are sick!!! I loved that!!!

Mundaring Wier is a lovely place to visit, the scenery is lovely and nice for a picnic. The Mundaring hotel is also a lovely place to eat out at.
