It used to go straight passed my old driveway. The Mclaren Vale/Willunga stage, forget the number. The event is cool, but quite a lot of hype. The build up seems to last for weeks and then over in a flash really (faster than a nasal spray can fix) and not much fun if you don't like lycra. Like most distance events, you probably see the best bits on media coverage.
I probably wouldn't travel to see it, but I can say that because I was lucky enough to walk down my drive and see it go right past me.

How long to go for, where to stay, how far out of town the stages are etc?
Worth taking the bike ?
