Default Total cost of emigrating?

Has anyone added up all the costs of emigrating?

For example, visa and related expenses, selling & buying a house, transport, loss of wages?

Try how many years of your life will it set you back , new starts are not cheap and the immo/refugee is an easy target.

Excluding house sale costs, agent fees (did it ourselves) and loss of earnings, but including visa, mdeicals, flights, container shipment. About GBP7,000.

£500 agent
£550 medicals & xrays ( 5 people)
$1700 visa fee
$350 skills assessment fee
£20 certification of documents
£50 postage of forms etc
£6000 estate agents fee
£3200 container to Brisbane
£2000 one way flights
(£3500 Flights to go and see if we would like to live there!)

There are probably a few things I have missed out, but this is already enough!!

We have however been able to save quite a bit of money by not paying our endowments, lowering mortgage selling cars etc before we go.
