Default Toshiba TV - Did you get it to work?

I know lots of threads about TV's and I have read and tried every suggestion but still no digital TV!

We can get analog TV fine but we can't tune the digital service, we have tried using Italian, German etc suggestions but still no luck. We have been into local electrical store but they don't sell Toshiba TV's so can't help.

So anyone with a Toshiba TV out there that could help?

I can't find that model anywhere, but I do see that Toshiba TV's have the freeview box built in.

I've read that the DVB-T Bandwidth is 7MHz in Australia and 8MHz in the UK.
It 'maybe' that the freeview bit doesn't work here, and you may need a new set top box ?

Hopefully someone with that TV will answer this aswell, or even just someone with more Digital TV knowledge ?

Have a read of this thread: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546994

Sorry typing error.

Model number 32 C 3035DB

But probably the same answer. Do you have a set top box. Is is worth getting?

Digital TV in UK is transmitted on UHF....

Most digital in Oz is transmitted on VHF.

My Philips TV will tune to analogue UHF and VHF, but only 'looks' for digital on UHF...so won't work. Your's sounds like the same problem.

I think an Oz set top box is in order.

I actually have 3 Australian set top boxes, PVR's with Hard Drives inside.

I suppose I do think they are worth it.... otherwise I wouldn't keep buying them

My first one had a 40Gb drive, my latest has either 160 or 320Gb, I can't remember.

I actually also have a 4th, which is a card in the computer, for watching / recording HD TV on/into the computer.

I don't like to watch TV according to schedule times, I prefer to record and watch when I like. And with my systems I can record 7 channels at a time, if I wanted to.

I've got a Toshy and its the only one I couldn't get to work on digital. Fine on analogue. Mine's a bit older than yours though. Try going through initial setup and telling it its in Germany, that worked on my Pioneer (but not Tosh) but worth a try.
