Default top tip on home insurance

Having worked in insurance (mostly home & motor) for 20 years in the UK, I have now started work here & have noticed on major difference in cover.
You can claim for "motor burn out " we get heaps of claims for pool pumps, freezer breakdowns, airconditioner units, washing machines, all sorts. Now, theres no way this would have been covered in UK, it would have just been down to wear & tear, but not so here, apparantly.
So, just thought I'd mention it, next time something breaksdown, or the motor goes, ring your Insurers, you could save a packet.
