Default Top 3 Airlines?

After much discussion with our sponsor, they have kindly agreed to pay our flights up front. However, to do this they require three quotes from airlines chosen by us.

Bearing in mind that the less spent on flights, the more remains in the relocation 'kitty' for other expenses after our arrival.

What are your top 3 recommendations for a family (2 x adults + 5 x kids) travelling early August?

Cheers.

We just paid 380 pounds all inclusive per person for our family of 6 with Singapore Air. That special offer ended on 29-06 though unfortunately.

Damn! That sounds good. How did you come across that? Do any of the airlines have an e-mail/mobile alert facility for latest deals and such? That would be a great idea.

Malaysian Airlines are doing special fares at the moment I think.

We paid £362 inclusive each.

They are available at all these sites :

www.ebookers.com
www.expedia.co.uk

www.lastminute.com was the cheapest though, only by £8 mind.

Malaysian are also really really professional. Good entertainment systems on the planes, which is a must for a long journey. They dont do 40kg allowance though, only Singapore and Emirates seem to do that now.

Try looking on www.asda-travel.co.uk they have some really cheap flights on there. They even undercut the airline most of the time

We booked a few weeks ago with Malaysian, flying in October - think it was £770 including taxes for two adults and an infant on expedia. We've flown with them before and they were excellent. From what I've experienced and read the three I'd go with are:

Malaysian
Singapore
Cathay Pacific

Cheers

was just checking out the airlines with thier own sites but had always heard good reports about Singaporeair, especially good with kids.Hadn't intended to book just yet but would of had to pay an extra 1200 quid had i not done so.Think you can register on the sites for offers/news updates.
