Default tool boxes + tools

advice from guys (and girls) who have taken tools out as luggage rather than shipping??

do airlines allow toolboxes + tools as luggage??

Providing it doesn't weigh more than you are allowed, they can't have a problem with it. Just don't try taking it as hand luggage, oh and remember to take a change of knickers if nothing else

My husband was asking this question only yesterday ....He needs his toolbox for work...it's more like a trunk than a box though ...

Just make sure everything is clean. Mine are going in the container apart from 2 of my spray guns that i will take in my own luggage so if i get the chance i can start work straight away. Darren

I shipped all my hand tools over, but sold/gave away my power tools
I guess you could take them over as excess baggage, the only trouble being you couldn't lock them up!

We hadn't thought about it untill I just read this. Huge snap-on collection will need to go. Hubbie will need tools to work. Nearly all job ads say bring own tools. Thanks for tips.

Sorry this was aimed at those who send them in a container so customs can inspect them other wise your expensive snap-on box gets bust open
