Default Re: Too old for a visa???

If you find an employer who will sponsor you for a permanent residency visa under the Employer Nomination Scheme or the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme you can apply for the visa over the age of 44, but ... you have to make the case that yours is an exceptional appointment.

This is more easily proved if yours is a MODL occupation and you are aged 45, 46, etc as compared with being in your 50s, but permanent residency is certainly do-able if you are aged over 44 ... the key is of course finding that employer who will support your application.

I'd also say that using a registered migration agent with experience in this area is advisable if you find yourself in the situation of having to satisfy the "exceptional" requirement.

Best regards.
