A tip for tourists driving in Oz ...
Carry your driving licence around with you ... it is illegal not to.
Also, watch your speed limit around school areas (difficult when you are exploring and don't know the area) as during certain times the speed limit is 40km.
Guess who got caught speeding in a school area, and left their driving licence at the motel?
He let me off with a caution. Phew!
