Default time served engineers and jobs

hi all
My name is mario and i am looking at the oportunities in w/ australia for a time served toolmaker. i have been in manufacturing for 21 yrs and as well as a 5yr apprenticeship, welding certs to bs have alot of expriance in manual cnc and semi cnc machines . most of my work is on lathes and am a supervisor at a precision engineers for defence and pharmicutical industry.
what is the job situation like in wa and is it worth the move. i have spoken to a migration company in rockingham and can go ahead with my 176 state sponsored skilled visa .
any advise is always welcome
oh and weve never been to aus but have friends out there who say we would be stupid to miss a chance .
