Default Time Limit on Applications

Can anybody tell me if there is any kind of time limit on assesments done for my visa application?
My wife and i decided to start our visa application 18 months ago and started by getting my skills assessed, after some initial hassles! i recieved a letter from the IEA stating my qualifications would give me the required 60 points for my aplication.
Since then we slowed the application process down whilst we had our first child, but now the motivation is back and i just need to know if it is necessary to get reassesed or to continue with our application using the original letter of approval.

dont know specifically, but im sure the nursing one lasts for 2 years.

try asking on the immigration forum if you get no response here. or ring up your assessing organisation and ask them?

good luck

Different rules apply for different skill assessing bodies. IEA assessments are normally valid indefinitely - look at your assessment letter and you should see no expiry date.

That said, you'll need to meet the requirements as they are now - pass mark is 120, not 115 like 18 months ago.

I am pretty sure that the ACS lasts just for one year - best check if unsure, on my letter of 'suitability' i am sure it mentioned having a shelf life.

As I keep saying - different skill assessments have different rules.
ACS assessments expire - IEA ones do not.

But best to check the letter to ensure IEA have not changed their policies recently.
