Thanks everyone! it is such a strange feeling! I am so so ready for this challenge but last 24hrs it really sunk in and feels real for the first time. im glad it has actually cos i was beginning to be scared by it not feeling real (if you know what i mean :rofl:)
The children are at their dads this weekend so its going to be hard tomorrow when they come back and good byes are said all round. Amongst all the unsettling feelings i STILL know that i am doing the right thing and am so very very excited about it all.
I have been waiting for this moment all my life (pretty much) and i feel a strange sense of calm apprehension and i havent felt quite so emotionally mixed up for many a year - i feel a kind sense of readiness - you know the kind - like mel gibson on horseback ready to charge into battle :rofl::thumbsup: Australia we are on our way and we are going to be a success story, may not seem like it for a while but i feel like i am going home. and NO incase you wondering - i havent touched a drop of alcohol for 2 weeks cos i know it will mess with my mind so i can stand up on one leg touch my nose and say Australia BEWARE we are on our way and we gonna make you our home :wub:

There's no cure except landing in Perth and starting your new life :D (a bottle of wine will help though ;))

I cant believe so many of us are leaving kids behind.

I am leaving my biggest baby/man behind he is 18 it really is heartbreaking and its just beginning to sink in, can I really do it.

We are heading to Cairns after considering bunbury we are stopping off in perth just to check out whether if could be the right option.

My lad is getting his own visa and will come and validate as of yet if says he will not stay has been given a fantastic opportunity to forfill his dream here so who am I to stand in his way.

We have another 2 boys who are coming with us but still my first born will remain.

Thanks Kaye - you too:wub: Your son like mine will be fine. I am convinced that if i didnt KNOW in my heart he was going to be ok then i wouldnt be going. He is being so supportive and admits its strange but we talk about how we feel now and how its gonna be when we go :wub: Our kids are only on loan to us and we then have to let them follow their own path. Just cos we are on other side of world doesnt mean we love them any the less. My son told me that he was proud of me for still doing it and that if he ever thinks something is impossible then he will think about how i managed to get there eventually. :thumbsup: that is confirmation enough for me - BUT its still gonna be a difficult time:rofl:
We are good parents, we are teaching our kids a very important lesson even though it may not feel like it all the time :wub: Oh heck! what did i start by saying, think i got carried away :rofl: (or maybe i need carrying away!)
