Time after medicals
 

Hi
I am new to this site, but wondered if anyone can help? We just sent our medical reports back to immigration in London and i was wondering how long we have to wait until we get our passports back with that all important slip of paper insided. Yes our visas. It's nearly 21 months since our application went in and i was hopping we may be in Oz before xmas.

hi Debbie Jo,

Welcome to the site. It appears to me that usually after the medicals are sent in the visa comes through very quickly ie 2 -3 weeks with a straight forward skilled independent visa. As you haven't specified which one youve applied for Im not sure....but here's hoping.
Where are you planning to settle??

It took a month from submitting our medicals to the pre-grant letter for us. We're off to get those magic visas tomorrow. Yipee!! Its only taken 18 months.

Thanks for your reply. We have applied for the General skilled visa. I hope it comes through as fast as you say that will be ace.
We plan on living in a place called Dapto, it's near Wollongong about 90 mins from Sydney and i tell you i can't wait to go iam a little nervous but very excited. I'll keep you posted.
