Default Time after change of circumstances formPR

Does anyone know how long it takes Adelaide to send the Pre-Grant letter once they have received the change of circumstances letter? I am worried because in the letter requesting change of circumstances, DIMA indicate if the visa is granted, I will need to land in Oz to activate the visa by November 21. This does not give me much time to wind up things here!

Any enlightenments will be greatly received.

Many thanks,

Timescales vary. You should really get in touch with Adelaide
directly.

How come you've got so little time to activate - did you front-end
load your medicals and police checks?

A short holiday in Australia will do to validate if you're not ready
to move straight away.

Police checks were front loaded. Medicals requested again in June...

You should get in touch with your case officer immediately and discuss
things with him. If you ask nicely before the visa is granted, you
may get a extension of the date (I wouldn't count on it though),
although it's possible you could be asked to do your police checks
again too. Which will add another delay.

Otherwise you've got to book yourself a holiday in Australia to arrive
before Nov 21.

All this would have been avoided if you had stuck to the correct
process and waited until you were asked before doing medicals and
police checks. Skilled applicants are not supposed to front end load,
I keep saying on this group it causes problems and is generally not
advisable, and yet people still keep asking 'how do I get medical
forms in advance'
