Question Timber posts/poles, where is the cheapest place to buy lots of them

Anyone know of a place in the Northern suburbs to buy a few hundred of the posts below. I have seen them at several places, including soilsaintsoils, but they are quite expensive, and wondered if anyone knew of a timber yard or similar that sells them by the hundreds?

Yep, they are expensive....Bought a few today 16 bucks each for a 1.8m length.

Take it you are putting a fence up. Why not use the star pickets at 5 bucks a post.

Thanks for the reply, I am using them for a small retaining 'wall' about 20 metres long, set in concrete, they will only be about two feet above ground level, all planted vertically, side by side. Similar to the ones you see on the grass verges along many of our roads, but they are usually a couple of metres apart. What are star pickets, and more importantly where can I get them from?

Try Colli. They are timber & hardware merchant. We go to the Brookton hwy store so dunno if they are up your way.
Star pickets are metallic fence posts. Cheaper and used to save on the use of timber
