Default Tickets,public transport in Perth?

Hello,

Arriving in Perth 2nd July! Yippee!

Staying in Perth for 2 weeks and will be our first trip to Oz and Perth!
Then head along the coast to our new home and job.

We will be using public transport, bus, train etc to get around Perth. Should be visiting usual kids attractions, zoo, kings park etc. Also fancy a trip to Fremantle.

Any tips for using public transport?
Any family public transport travel tickets that last all day, or a couple of hours?
Will be two adults and 4 kids, so think some sort of family ticket may be best buy.

Any hints and recommendations to save on bus fares, and info getting around please post.

Thanks
GEMS.

$7.70 for family pass, get them at the train station.
Perth city CAT buses are free. Get the ferry from the swan bells to the Zoo. Also try the tram to Kings park.
Hope you have a great time.
