For those about to move
Excuse me - Im having an ABC Diamond moment here:
Anyone who is about to make the move could possibly gain from downloading one the PDF booklets from the following DIMIA link

Each state has its own version with lots of info about Tax File No. Medicare etc. and also there is a checklist of things to do upon arrival, which is nice!
Have a look, it might just help.
