Smile Thinking of relocating to Sydney-Anyone have some advice for getting process started?

Hey guys,
I am new to this!
Me and and my partner have discussed relocating to sydney a few times but each time it becomes a better idea, and especially after having our first child only 3 months ago, he is a reminder of wanting to provide a better life for us all.
My partner has travelled all over oz, i however havent been (not that this would stop me) but am starting off doing the research into 'the big move'
-could you guys please give me somewhere to start?
I have started to look into job prospects as i am a legal secretary and my partner currently works for the london underground.

Really looking forward to hearing back for you all!

We have been here for over 8 weeks now and we went to sydney first. My OH is a sparkie and he got a job on not too bad wages in the first week at the airport. We were lucky that we were staying with friends in sydney as it was really hard to find a place to rent and my OHs work started mucking him about and put him on night shift for crap wages.

We moved to the gold coast a few weeks ago and although it is harder to get a sparkies licence it has loads of jobs for legal secretaries and i mean loads!!! I was a medical secretary back in the uk for 5 years and there has only been a few jobs for that. Only wish i had done the legal.

Sydney is okay but im only going in what happened to us and the jobs that you can get here on the gold coast as a legal seccy.

Good luck!

Best place to start is www.immi.gov.au to work out if you are eligible for a visa.
