Default Things you DON'T like about Oz?

May I start again?

Thanks ...

Sunburn
Aggresive drunks
Traffic congestion
Sitting in queues on the telephone
Cold winters (bone chilling ... humidity?)
Long distance from anywhere (except NZ)
Biting ants
Those huge ugly spiders with sticky yellow webs
Cockroaches
Toads
Insect invasion in the house (up all night itching & for days ... ground fleas or something)

Cheers,
Poe

Traffic congestion?? Not compared to here 90 mins it took me this afternoon to do 13 miles (I'm not joking, I really wish I was!)

I don't like what IMO can be lack of choice/variety in the supermarkets - I'm sure its just a question of, what you're used to though!

Agree about the grannies and the ceepy crawlies. The other thing is that when a professional suggestion is made at work it is taken totally personally. I have checked i am not being a cow and i'm not. My mate in Darwin says the same thing. Weird eh and totally frustrating.

Okay, you win

Annoyed me mainly because I only went to drop something off, the whole round trip should have been done inside half an hour, instead it took me three times as long to just get back! Gggggrrrrrrrr

The drink thing is strange, it was the same all over Queensland until about five years ago. Now its almost like UK in Brisbane almost everything is open 24/7

But not in WA yet

We are hoping to be in Perth October and are thinking of Ellenbrook, been there before. However, several people keep suggesting Ocean Reef or Joondalup.
Any pointers?

Ellonbrook is really nice ,we have friends there, how ever we love ocean reef, its just that its very exspensive, and if we went to ellonbrook we vould get double 4 our money, but money may make the world go round ,but it dunt buy u happiness,we went out yesterday to look at Quinns rock, jundilee, ellonbrook and carramar, there all lovely and a bit cheaper (land ) we even put r name on some land in carramar(carramar heights) but as we were driving back into ocean reef ,We looked at each other and said NAH We love it here and would rather have a small house in a location that WE love,it feels good every time we come home from a day out, kids love it,and there in school,we rent at mo,and although its gonna be dificult finding a place in our $,we,d rather stay and hopefully buy,
Joondalup is very nice also not very far from us and some parts are lovelly, carramar is at the end of joondalup drive an a lot of building going on,so it could be worth a look there. Its down to personal preferences, and ocean reef is ours.....
