Mate, if I hiked from here it would be more like 3 hours 45 minutes.
That's about 20km of hard climb.

A trip onto the Tablelands is called for.
A place I have yet to explore fully.
There's loads up there and I've seen very little.

Ascent via the Gillies which is off from Gordonvale, South Cairns.
A bloody long windy road that can be akin to a rollercoaster ride for passengers.

Stunning views though. Here's some.........
