Stacks. Check on the meet forum. They have a monthly indian, the boys are having or had a recent booze up and the girls went to the cinema I think. They also reguarly have day time stuff.

Thanks i'll have to have a look on there, i hope they do mummy meet ups. We'll be leavign everyone behind and hubby will prob do night shift most of the week once we get out there, worried that i won't get out to socialise til the kids are in high school

It looks like it might be January next year ? And we'll either be on teh east side near Rowville or on the West side near Point Cook ??

There's lots of expats over Point Cook way, some of whom come out on the regular meets we have. Rowville is a fair way out on the East Side but I think a fair few people are heading out in that direction, although maybe a bit further north. Anyway, I hope to be running my own business at that stage so will no doubt be working all the hours but I'm usually up for a meet, and my wife casg organises some of the meets here, and is usually up to meet new people, especially if it means getting to somewhere she hasn't been before. You'll have no problems meeting expats here, if that is what you want.

Aww thanks Carl thats made me feel a better perhaps you could see if you're wife wlll pm me her contact addy or somthing so at least i'll know maybe someone will want to meet up? Dont' worry i have 3 kids i've no time to be a mass murderer, a stalker or anything lol

Thanks Teliko I'd love to, I think Hubby may be working night shift in the week but hopefullywe'll be able to sort something out

I have some idea. My wife came here alone as I was in England finalising our house sale. She spent 2 months here alone with only one friend who was from this forum to start with. She made many friends, though, and is happy to be here for other people who may be short on contacts when they get here. Life can be difficult for a while if you don't know many people, but it is worth it. Not for everyone, but for some of us, emigrating was the best thing we've ever done

Yep, lots of meet-up....lots of people willing to to meet up on less 'formally.
Seems to be a lovely core of people here, if you know what I mean !
