Is there an airport in or around Townsville?
Hi everyone
Just wanted to know if there was an airport in or near to Townsville, I know we have to fly into Brisbane but from what i can gather its a VERY VERY long way to travel by car like 17 hours i'd seen on a previous thread!! :scared: Just don't fancy all that way in a car with a lively 7 year little boy :scared:

Yes there is an airport in Townsville, we flew from Brisbane and we booked our tickets on the net from the uk. Have a look at virgin blue, jetstar and quantas, book in advance to get the cheap fares, same setup as easyjet in the uk.
Townsville not a huge place so the airport is very close for town. Flight was about 1hr 30min from Brisbane.

Easy to get here try and get a seat on the right side of the 'plane then you see the amazing coastline on the way up here. Just a tip
