Theme park in NZ?

Just curious - took kids to Chessington yesterday and they asked whether there are any theme parks in NZ - 16 year old loves his rollercoasters. Not that chessington has any good rollercoasters but to get to my question.........

Anone know

Do they have Alton Towers style parks in NZ?

NOT in the same league as the UK/US Parks.....by a long way! Some might consider that a good thing! The Gold Coast is where those Kiwis can afford it , head to for their thrills, ie Sea World, Dream World, Movie World etc.

I guess the thing with NZ is that you get your adrenaline rush from bungee jumping & white water rafting!
