Your advice has been invaluable.
We are getting their police checks done now.
They are both going packpacking on Working Hoilday Visa's.
We intented to take their Police Checks with us and apply for their citizenship's over in Oz.
Could you forsee any real problems doing this, as their younger brother is aready a citizen and will be with us.

As far as I know, there's nothing stopping them applying for citizenship once in
Australia. It can be done at any DIMIA office, and the documentation required should
be the same (with the addition of police checks) as what your younger child needed.
On arrival however, they should not indicate an intention to stay longer than 12
months on the incoming passenger card. They can make their minds up to do this
*after* their Aus citizenship has been granted.

The fact their younger brother is already a citizen won't make any difference.
Processing time for their application shouldn't be too long, and I don't think
they'll need to attend any ceremony. Once their citizenship is granted, their
working holiday visas cease to have effect. They will need to get Australian
passports, as well as enrol to vote and get Australian driving licences (if they
haven't done already).
