Thank you bcworld
I have used the system of booking cheap business and first class flights (one of each so far) and feel deeply grateful to bcworld for introducing me to the scheme. I wondered how many other people have benefited from this and would like to thank bcworld, so I've initiated the poll attached to this thread. If you would like to thank him, tick the appropriate box(es).
Once again, thank you bcworld, whoever and wherever you are! |
Re: Thank you bcworld
BC has been a very helpful poster for a long time:thumbup:

Re: Thank you bcworld
Undoubtedly one of the good guys.

Re: Thank you bcworld
I agree, might not always see eye to eye regarding views on Australia but is a lovely guy and always helpful.

Re: Thank you bcworld
as someone who occasionally flies BC this sounds interesting - what's it all about then?
|
Re: Thank you bcworld
Haven't used this method yet (as I'm still not back in Oz), but it'll certainly make having to pay $2500 to $3500 to get back to Europe more acceptable if I can do it in business or first class! I certainly appreciate the thread in question and bcworld's efforts in particular.

Re: Thank you bcworld
He has the patience of a saint.:thumbsup:One of the good ones for sure.

Buying points/miles for redemption against flights. At certain promotional times your purchase of up to 50000 is doubled, and by gifting points between account holders you can also get more. Can make a business class return to Europe little more than you're likely to find a normal cattle class fare, by the looks of it. I'll certainly be trying it out in future unless the new alliance partnership changes everything vastly. |
Re: Thank you bcworld
We have used the deal 4 times and friends have used it 4 times between them. We are not at all grateful - it has ruined us for economy travel now! :p
In all seriousness, we are very very grateful. Travelling business makes a huge difference, the holiday starts right at the airport and being able to stretch out and get some sleep lessens the impact of jet lag considerably. |

Once again, thank you bcworld, whoever and wherever you are! Can you still use this scheme then? My understanding was that it was too difficult to access now... S |
Re: Thank you bcworld
Thanks for all the kind words! :o
I think it's great so many people have done the miles thing...I would've appreciated a few more offers of commission/beer/miles donations but never mind! Yes Swervo, the deal is alive and well...$A is starting to pinch it a little but the UK cost is probably still around $2,800 as per the thread title (the miles were cheaper then but $A was weaker). Availability is still fine. |
Re: Thank you bcworld
Another thank you from me
I had to go back in a rush last year and managed to go business class and I was only there for a week it made a massive difference , I have more now and plan to go again bit more relaxed this time hopefully:) |
Re: Thank you bcworld
One more thank you from me, have used it for business class a few times now, its been great to get to your destination not feeling like an extra form the walking dead for a change. From us common as muck folk u is the Man!
I'd like to thank you with lifemiles - PM me with the details |
Re: Thank you bcworld
Big thanks from us in Glasgow. Me, hubby, daughter and son have all benefited from bcworld's vast knowledge of flights and dividend miles scheme.
|
Re: Thank you bcworld
I'm surprised - from all the comments in this thread I would have thought there would be more than 10 (max) people who have flown using this offer. Maybe the rest of you don't think bcworld desrves your thanks?

Re: Thank you bcworld
Thank you BC it was only with your help and information , that made it possible for people like us to get these deals thanks again
|
Re: Thank you bcworld
Love that man! If only I knew what he looked like.... I aspire to throw myself at his feet in grovelling thanks in a business lounge somewhere around the world. This deal (and all BC's help in explaining it) has made it a realistic possibility for my Mum to meet her grandchildren. Would never have dared to try the trip on my own in economy. :amen:

Re: Thank you bcworld
A big "thank you" from me:) I have now used this incredible service 6 times and really am eternally grateful. I have progressed from simple A to B flights to much more ambitious itineries involving open jaw and stopovers all with great success.
I have not posted for sometime as I now have a reasonable grasp on things, however I feel that the need may well arise again when I start grappling with Lifemiles and it is great to know that there is good prompt advice at hand. Everytime I settle down in a new B.C.lounge I have a look around and wonder if there are any more 'club' members there. If you are ever in Perth I would consider it an honour to buy you a few jars of your favourite tipple:thumbsup: By the way I didn't know that we could fly to the East coast of America via Europe, now that is interesting!! I feel a holiday coming on - Yeah!! |
Re: Thank you bcworld
I must sit down and go through that thread so I understand how it all works!

Re: Thank you bcworld
I confess to having a brief read of the first pages of BC's thread, and thinking that I'd probably stuff it up if I tried something like this. My Liverpool lad and I do fly into Manchester once a year in business class and I know that I could do so much better on the prices I get for flights if I could only get my confidence up a bit. Having said all of that, I think the help BC has given to so many people is fantastic - people like him are the soul of forums.

Only trouble is that it spoils you - not sure we could even go back to business in the future, let alone cattle class! |

The great thing about this is that there is always someone to ask for help and B.C. is always on the ball - just great! Believe Lady!!!! |

We all felt the same when we sarted out so don't feel lonely. It really does work. Read and re-read the whole blog, join all the clubs (free) and do a couple of practise runs. From Perth you practically have to fly Thai but that's no disadvantage, they're good. They don't go to Manchester though so you need to change to Swiss air or similar, we usually go via Zurich or Brussels neither of which is much of an airport. If you are concerned the 1st time keep it simple and just go PER-BKK-LHR and get the train up to the Pool.

Believe Lady!!!! I've signed my husband and myself up to the US Airways dividend miles program, I realise that the impending merger with AA may mean I've left my run too late but it costs nothing to try. Thanks to your encouragement, if a good miles offer comes up we'll take the plunge. Cheers again to you both. |
Re: Thank you bcworld
thanks for the heads up this is a great way to travel
|
Re: Thank you bcworld
Huge huge thanks to bcworld :D
Travelling out of cattle class has reduced travel stress and anxiety immensly!! We are ruined!!! Sending buckets & buckets of karma your way. Koolcat |
Re: Thank you bcworld
Thanks bcworld you da man!
You have opened up a whole new world of travel for my wife and me. I hope this gig never ends because traveling cattle class again isn't something to look forward to. Keef ;o) |
