Hi Gina
We visited Noosa a couple of years ago.
Tewantin is right next to Noosa which is a hot holiday spot and very very nice. Check out some Noosa websites.
If we had a job offer there we'd defo go for it.

Tewantin is a lovely place, close to Noosa so plenty to do, I would go for it, you can always move later on if you want.

I was there briefly last month and thought it was really nice.
What are rental prices like there compared to other areas of the Sunshine Coast?
Living in Tewantin, was there much sense of community spirit etc

Excellent golf course with loads of Kangaroos running around. Good restaurants and I thought preferable to Noosa - but only there on hols for a few days.

May be a bit expensive given major holiday area and housing probably a nightmare - so check that out first. But nothing to fault the area

Depends on the time of year, around Christmas there's very little accommodation available but at this time of year there's plenty vacant so the agents many be open to offers.
Generally Noosa's more expensive than anywhere else but Tewantin is one of the cheaper areas to rent (not much chance of a sea view and a few locations suffer with mozzies) .

The community spirit is a bit hard to advise on. Tewantin is spread over a large area of separate estates with a shopping centres here and there. Old Tewantin is (as you would guess) the most established area with the main street, harbour and council offices. The town can get a bit congested at holiday times with thousands of 4x4s all heading for the ferry to bury their shite in the sand over on the north shore.
As in most towns folk just get on with their lives, infact I think people did more in the uk community wise than here. Suppose it depends on who lives next door, "cos thats when neighbours become good friends"
