Default Temporary accomodation in Sydney

Hi all,

We are planning to rent somewhere permanently (3 years) when we get to Sydney. We have been granted temp visa 457 and I read it somewhere that buying will be an issue.

Before we find somewhere permanent we need some kind of temporary accomodation say for 4 weeks to 2 months? Anyone know of any good holiday let companies in Sydney?

Welcome to Sydney smallbeagle! We have been here since mid September and loving it. Have met up with a few expats already and we are talking of organising a picnic type meet soon so keep your eyes open (if you can!) Hope to meet you soon. . . .

We are planning on coming to Sydney on a 547 visa since Hubbie has been offered a job. Just wondered how long it took to get the visa. We are hoping to be out there by June or July. I am so excited!!
Company is organising our short term accomodation thank goodness!
Cheers

Thanks Binbird. Where are you? Was it easy finding somewhere to live? We are about to change our minds about where to live after spending a day on Narrabean beach!!
