Temporary accomodation in Brisbane

Hi folks

We're new on here - posting anyway - have been "lurking" for months ;) and picked up TONS of great advice - but we are emigrating to Oz in October and will obviously need some immediate accomodation in Brisbane while we look for a rental property.

Does anyone have any tips re: serviced apartments vs. motels? - that type of thing.

We would love to hear of any previous experience - especially in or around Brissie.

Many thanks
Dave

When we first came to oz we used a company called brisbane bound www.brisbanebound.com. They have a number of fully furnished houses around Brisbane that you can stay in for a week or a few months, they pick you up from the airport stock the fridge with the essentials you need and are really helpful. We also found the price extremly reasonable. Hope this helps

Hi
Take a look at www.seqrents.com.au
In particular Newstead Realty who advertise some of their properties on there are very helpful.

We also used seqrents (www.seqrents.com.au) and stayed in some serviced apartments in Spring Hill (walking distance to CBD). I think they were called Sedgebrook on Leichardt. We were very happy with the apartment and its location.
