Default from temp to perm visa

hello new to all this, do any of you old hands know how easy/hard it will be to get a perm visa if coming out on employment sponsered temp visa?We have been told by employer that it shouldn't be a problem has anyone had experience with this. Also what is north Queensland like to live and work in ?

Try pressing the CAPS LOCK button again as caps means shouting.

Provide some more details such as your line of work, qualifications and experience.

Also have a look on www.immi.gov.au to start your research.

I went from a temp. 4 year visa to a permenant visa with not much trouble. If your medical is over three months old it has to be repeated and if you apply for the permenent visa under the local labour agreement then it can be done from within Australia plus you don't have to leave the country at all.

did you wait until your temp visa was up or did you apply straight away?

Mackay- i've previously worked in Bundaberg and coped but Mackay sounds very humid.

I whad been on a Temp visa for about 4 months then applied for perm. Took about a month to get the permanent one mind you I am a mental health nurse so was already in a job in Aus.
