whats the score with this car rego.
is it based on car size. is it yearly, do you pay it for all cars.
do motorbikes need it.
is there such a thing as m.o.ts out there.
can we transfer no claims bonus if there is such a thing out there.
or anything else to do with owning motor vehicals which may differ from else where

Motor Vehicles and Motorbikes are required to be registered/re-registered
yearly, such cost is normally based on motor size (trucks etc are diff)
depending on where you go to live (registration is a State administered
required) some States require "MOT" after a vehicles is a certain age. No
Claim Bonus on your insurance is available here and relates to the person
not the vehicle and we drive on the Left.

Re: tell us more about car rego

In Queensland there is no requirement for a yearly road worthy certificate. Queensland Transport send a bill around the date your rego is due and once you pay that your rego sticker is sent out. There is a $60 fine for not replacing an old rego sticker (in Queensland). Rego amounts vary depending on whether you drive a 4, 6 or 8 cylinder car or a motorcycle. There is a grace period of about 1 month. You also have the option of paying 6 monthly. Third party insurance is compulsory and included in the rego in Queensland. I'm not sure about other states.

I know that in NSW you must get a road worthy certificate every year. I don't know about the rules in other states.

In Wa there is no MOT but you can be stopped at anytime and given Pink Slip , which means the car has to put on ramps for Police Moter Inspectors .Until they give okay your car will be off the road.some young kids can get picked on , if they put Pink Slip on upside down its means keep this tosser off the road .
Rego for my car was$440 per year covers Third party injury , most of it is Tax,GST and admin charges , you will get charged more on bigger cars do not even ask about Big 4 wheel drives.
You will need insurance bring some proof of your fully comp will help to get same here.
Drive on same side of road as UK so you could import a car , it is possible to make money on BMW or other top of the range cars if you do they will let you get away with duty if on PR visa , look up price of imports here lot dearer than UK.Best Wishes
