Hey all, i need to phone Perth and was wondering if someone could tell me what the area code is ?
Am i that dumb ok dont answer that one :confused:

To call Perth from overseas, the country code is 61 and the area code is 08.

actually it's +61 8 xxxx xxxx

no zero;)

Funny, when I called from overseas I put in the 0 and it worked just fine. Come to think of it, my parents and sister do too.

That's unusual. The extra digit generally throws the whole sequence out.

Mobile numbers are the same - they all start with a '0' which you drop if calling from outside AU/NZ IE +61 xxx xxxxxx
