don't you always fel that the goody goody types who say "this is terrible" "moral decay" etc etc are just bitter and twisted oldies who'd just love to be getting in amongst it all.

Hard to read that site- it kept crashing on me. Maybe I am a sad oldie (28 going on 58), but that article struck me as being really sad. They are just kids and don't realise that what is "packaged" as fun, harmless and exciting, can be life threatening (Aids), can lead to infertlity, unwanted pregnancies and is psychologically damaging to them. I wasn't a saint myself at that age, but being a parent myself, would hate for my georgeous little girl to be caught up in that, in an attempt to win attention, love etc. One thing my parents did to educate me, was to introduce me to alcohol at a young age. (Starting with some diluted wine, allowed small quantities of spirits at New Year etc.) I learnt to respect alcohol and knew what it could do - when I did go through that mad teenage drinking phase, I didn't get myself into half as much trouble as my mates who had never drunk before.

My view is that teens should have sex fairly early to get it over with - with someone they genuinely like - and use a CONDOM!!!!! Then they can spend time on genuine relationships etc

When I was a teenager, woe betide any bloke who hadn't popped his cherry. Seemed to cause no end of hassle, rush to get his end away etc. causes problems

Holland used to have one of the lowest pregnancy rates in Europe and I remember reading how a teenage couple aged 13/14 were "allowed" to have sex after their homework. Seemed outrageous but it seemed to work. I dated a Dutch girl myself and kind of expected her to be some kind of raging nympho - she was actually quite normal.

Of course, having said that, if Mrs Badgers drops a girl I'll be ordering up a shiny new shotgun. If it's a boy - good luck to the young fella - but USE a condom.
