Default Techy Firefox question

Can you use MSN Messenger with Firefox? Or is it a MSN thing that you have to use IE? I hate using IE

MSN Messenger is different to what you use to browse the internet. My boyfriend has firefox on his laptop and MSN Messenger works perfectly.

I won't use *anything* by Micr$oft if it can be avoided so I'm afraid I don't even know what "messenger" does!

Great help....

MSN Messenger doesn't use Internet Explorer or Firefox as it is a separate application so knock yourself out.

Make sure you download the latest version - I think it's 7.5 at the moment.

Alternatively, you can try the latest version of Skype as it now comes with a webcam component and from what I've read to sipposed to be really good

Sorry being thick here and struggling Why if I disable IE and then attempt to connect to Messenger (not for me, my girls would think their hands had been cut off if they couldn't use it) it says it can't because IE is not enabled or words to that effect We are running 7.5. I do use Skype but as I said the girls "chat" to the UK mob of friends on MSN.
