TEAK GARDEN FURNITURE
Hi All,
My wife has just purchased a brand new set of "Teak Garden Furniture". Does anyone know if we will have any hassle exporting it? To be fair she has got a bargain and did not think to ask me first about the exporting.
It will be new and covered in the usual poly...stored in the garage until the container arrives......paranoid about the reports I have read on here

Re: TEAK GARDEN FURNITURE
We exported ours and gave it a good clean beforehand with Jeyes fluid - no questions asked got through fine.
Take it out of its packing though as there's a slim chance they may charge you import duty for it being less than 1 year old.

Still waiting to see if our hardwood garden furniture gets through ok. Good advice to take it out of the wrappers....would be horrible to get stung for duty on it, especially as you've already paid VAT.

Re: TEAK GARDEN FURNITURE
Our teak garden furniture got through with no problems. We'd been using it for around 3 years when it was shipped. I made sure that it was clean and then gave it a fresh coat of teak oil (removal companies suggestion).
