teaching salaries??
 
hi
can anyone point me in the right direction regarding teaching salaries please?
i gather each state has a different scale??
how do you progress up the scale?
E1?? etc
and do you get extra for higher qualifications?
can you negogiate etc for higher qualifications?
do you get extra for related work experience?

i have BSC, MSC, post grad diploma, PGCE, PhD, physics
have 3 years teaching expeirence and 7 years related worked experience (research physicist/medical physicist)???

Try this link for the NSW Department of Education and Training. Rates are different for different states. Do a search in Google for Teachers salary + the state you are interested in.

Also check out this pdf. It is the current NSW Teachers' Award. Go to page 21 for NSW Teachers' pay scale.

Can you PM me the details please Sniffy? We arrive in Melbs at beginning of Nov and my wife is a teacher and would love the info. She is just about to send off her teacher registration. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Done both! I'm no expert but have a couple of years research under the belt!

probably get paid more in independent.
