Default Teachers: state registration

Just incase anyone else has been looking into getting registered and had been wondering whether a positive NOOSR assessment could be used as part of the state skill assessment requirement,
here's the answer:

Dear Mrs. Fitzgerald,

In regards to your email enquiry I should point out the assessment you have
from NOOSR has no influence on the official assessment process in South
Australia. NOOSR assessment has no authority in regards to professional
licencing (i.e. teacher registration) in any State of Australia. NOOSR does
make it quite clear that their assessments are for immigration purposes only
and that you still need to formally seek an assessment of your
qualifications in the State where you are interested in seeking professional
recognition/employment, etc.

Yours Sincerely

Leela Kwitko
Principal Qualification Officer
Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
