Taxation
Are there any taxation experts who can answer some questions for me on Australian tax?
Firstly, i am assuming it is a separate taxation system i.e. separate tay of husband and wife rather than pooling all earnings?
Is tax based on a calendar year?
What happens in the year of arrival - do you get a full years tax allowance and a fulls years allowance of the various tax threshholds?
Are there any big deductions allowed from earnings e.g. mortgage interest etc.
Any help much appreciated
