Tax on worldwide income 444scv
HI I am dual NZ UK ctitzen and aim to retire in OZ using my NZ passport
I have been told than as a temporary resident on 444 SCV you are only taxable on what you earn in Australia and foreign derived income is expempt
Anyone seen or heard about this

It is true that holders of certain temporary visas are not taxed on worldwide income. I do not know if the 444scv is one of those certain visas, but it could be. Who told you that there was an exemption? If it was your accountant I would presume they are correct and go along with it.

You will be taxed in NZ though on earnings in NZ.
