Default Tax system..

Hi, my partner and I will probably be earning around $70k each and will have to pay for three kids and all the usual expenses associated with family living... What would our tax liabilities be, roughly ?
Thanks.

Hi,

see the tax calculator here. 2014 is the latest year:

Hi, assuming the New Zealander is not "elegible" which most aren't these days then you will be on the TR444 SCV and the TR 461. If so you will be taxed at the usual rates but any money you earn overseas (eg in NZ) will not be taxed in Australia.

Bear in mind that the 461 has to be renewed every 5 years and it and the 444 have no path to PR or citizenship unless you qualify through another method.
