Tax rates for temporary residents (spouse)
Hi All
My husband and I will be moving to Melbourne in January. He will be on a temporary spouse visa working remotely for his company in London. My question is, for Australian tax purposes, will he be taxed as a resident or non-resident of Australia?
Thanks,
AJW

As far as I know - and I'm assuming he's on the spouse visa that's temporary for 2 years and turns into a Permanent Visa - he will be taxed as a resident. My partner Matt is on this visa, although he hasn't got his first paycheck yet, it's due in 2 weeks.
