Tax rates??

Tax rates?? Job listings?? Any Info??
Hi there just wanted to know some info on the tax rate in Oz. Is it true that you pay 47c to every dollar earned over 70thou?? That seems like a lot! Im a bricklayer and i am going to Victoria in April to work. Any info of this topic would be great!
Also i have seen lots of jobs advertised for bricklayers on the usual website, is the salary they quote after tax or before tax? Does any one know?

pay is usually quoted before any deductions but may/ may not include super (pension).
