Tax Question
We've just started to look at our online tax returns. One of the questions asks for the date of becoming an Australian Resident (if it was during the 06/07 tax year).
Not sure what date to use. We moved to Aus on 1st May this year, received our tax file numbers on 16th May, validated our visas Apr 06 and were granted our visas Oct 05.
Could anyone please let us know which date to use.
